A textile manufacturer in Gaffney is investing $6 million in its facility to expand its production capabilities. Hamrick Mills will use the capital investment to purchase new equipment for both of its plants in Cherokee County.
“Our company strongly believes in investing in our community by being a good corporate citizen and also by encouraging civic involvement by our associates,” said Hamrick Mills CFO Charles Hamrick, in a news release. “We are very proud of that heritage, and our current expansion efforts show a continued resolve to invest in our community and grow our business for the benefit of everyone involved.”
Hamrick Mills employs 430 across both its production facilities, sales office and its corporate headquarters. It has operated in Cherokee County for more than 115 years.
“This investment continues to verify Cherokee County's commitment to existing industry,” said Tim Spencer, Cherokee County Council chairman. “We look forward to the next 100 years of partnership with the Hamrick family.”
