Drive and control manufacturer Bosch Rexroth has opened a research and development and vehicle test area at its plant in Fountain Inn. The new area, which opened Wednesday, will be used to test new vehicles and evaluate new product on demonstration machines.
The company said the area gives customers the ability to test new machines against safety standards.
“Companies that specialize in construction, material handling, agriculture and commercial equipment will benefit from the certainty the new vehicle test area provides by allowing them to test complete systems or system components,” the company said, in a news release.
The testing area includes gravel, concrete and wash pads to test for things like traction control and drive systems. An excavation site also allows for safety testing.
