BMW to host diversity conference

BMW Manufacturing is hosting a conference with an eye on increasing diversity among its supplier base.

The BMW Supplier Diversity Matchmaker Conference will take place April 3-4 at the Greenville Convention Center, according to an announcement posted by the S.C. Department of Commerce. Activities away from the conference center include plant tours and a chance to ride and drive at the BMW Performance Center.

The keynote speaker for the conference is Stedman Graham, chairman and CEO of S. Graham & Assoc. He is a businessman, educator and speaker, according to his bio. Graham has authored 11 books, including two that made the New York Times Best Sellers list.

Graham is the founder of the Concerned Citizens of Whitesboro in New Jersey and Concerned Citizens of Lake Waccamaw in North Carolina, and is a co-founder of the Community Alliance for Youth Success.
