Greenwood Fabricating and Plating is investing $17.1 million in an expansion of its Greenwood County manufacturing operations. The investment will create a new facility in Hodges and is expected to create an additional 31 jobs, according to the S.C. Department of Commerce.
"Greenwood Fabricating and Plating is excited about the expansion of operations. Thanks to the hard work of our employees and the support of Greenwood County and South Carolina leaders, the new facility will provide us with the opportunity to add new processes and upgrade technologies for some of our existing products," Tim Fender, Greenwood Fabricating and Plating president, said in a news release.
The company plans to build its new manufacturing facility at the intersection of U.S. Highway 25 North and S.C. Highway 254 in Hodges to complement its existing operations in the city of Greenwood, the release said.
Founded in 1986, Greenwood Fabricating and Plating is a fabrication, machining, assembly and electroplating job shop, providing finished components to a wide variety of manufacturers.
