Polydeck Screen Corp. plans $8.7M expansion

Family-owned Polydeck Screen Corp. in Spartanburg, a provider of polyurethane and rubber screen media and specialty screening solutions, is investing more than $8.7 million in an expansion that will create 45 new jobs, according to the S.C. Department of Commerce.

The company expansion, at its 1790 Dewberry Road location in Spartanburg County, will allow Polydeck Screen Corp. to “accommodate significant sales growth,” according to a news release. Polydeck Screen Corp. opened in 1978 and this expansion marks the company’s eighth one, according to a news release.

Peter Freissle, company president, and Ronald D. Kuehl II, executive vice president, released a joint statement saying, “We are pleased to have this opportunity to grow our business base here in Spartanburg. We feel that growth is a direct result of our company vision, which is to serve our customers and stakeholders with excellence to achieve profitable growth which enables us to care for people in a way that honors God.”

"We are very pleased that Polydeck Screen Corp. chose their Spartanburg County facility for their expansion and the creation of additional jobs,” David Britt, Spartanburg County Economic Development Committee chairman and Economic Futures Group board member, said in the release. “Polydeck is a solid company with a long history of growth and job creation. This project represents Spartanburg County's commitment to our existing industry.”
