T&S Brass and Bronze Works Inc., a manufacturer of faucets, fittings and specialty products and accessories, plans to expand operations in Greenville County. A $10.3 million investment is expected to create 22 new jobs, according to a news release from the Greenville Area Development Corp.

The company also plans to make the Travelers Rest facility an innovation center for research, development and training purposes, the news release said.

Founded in 1947 and located in Greenville County for 40 years, T&S Brass and Bronze Works provides products for food service, industrial, commercial plumbing and laboratory markets. It is the largest employer in Travelers Rest and has never had a layoff, the news release said.

“T&S Brass and Bronze Works Inc. has been a part of the Travelers Rest community since 1979 and we are delighted to be expanding our business here yet again,” President Claude Theisen said in the news release, adding that the company is experiencing sales growth globally.

“It all stems from the success we’ve realized at our Travelers Rest headquarters and manufacturing facility,” Theisen said in the release. “The city of Travelers Rest, Greenville County and the S.C. Department of Commerce are key partners in making this next level of growth a reality. The partnership helps ensure a bright future for those who work within the plant and the surrounding community.”

The two-phased expansion will increase capacity and distribution capabilities in phase one. Phase two will include an upgrade of the company’s existing training and headquarters facilities, according to the release, which said the company plans to add a 55,000- to 60,000-square-foot distribution warehouse as part of its growth.

The project is expected to be completed in the fall of 2024.

Greenville County Council Chairman H.G. Butch Kirven said in the release that “T&S Brass and Bronze Works Inc. has been a valued member of Greenville County’s business community with a strong record of employing local talent while giving back to their community.” Kirven also is a board member of the GADC.

The Coordinating Council for Economic Development has approved a $150,000 set-aside grant for Greenville County to assist with the costs of building construction, the release said.
