SCMEP training goes online

Listen to this articleThe S.C. Manufacturing Extension Partnership’s employee training program now is available online.
The training portal will feature classes added weekly and enable companies to follow their employees’ progress. As employees strive to comply with social distancing measures while juggling a busy schedule, the platform allows for 24/7 access to SCMEP’s course selection, according to a news release.
“Learning is changing as new technologies develop and SCMEP is bringing convenient learning to the workforce,” Chuck Spangler, president of SCMEP, said in the release.
Course packages include an employee engagement course “Lean Kickstart,” a mechanical systems course and maintenance training program. The platform’s “Coming Back from COVID-19,” “Exploring Artificial Intelligence” and “Navigating the Storm” resources are offered free-of-charge.
