Velux Greenwood LLC will expand operations in Greenwood County with a $26 million investment.

“Our growth and investment over the past decade in Greenwood County have surpassed our original plans,” Charles Rimsky, president of the skylight and roof window manufacturing company, said in a news release today. “We are confident these future investments and commitment to Greenwood County will benefit our customers, local staff and contribute to the county and state economic development.”

Because of increased demand in the company’s roof window, skylight, tubular daylighting devices and decorative blind products, Velux is expanding its 450 Old Brickyard Road location through several phases over the next few years, according to the release.

“Greenwood County is pleased to work with Velux as they continue to expand their existing operations in our community,” Steve Brown, Greenwood County Council chairman, said in the release. “Velux has an impressive history in Greenwood County, and we look forward to assisting the company as they continue to prosper for many more years.”
