Drive and control technologies company Bosch Rexroth Corp. plans to expand its existing hydraulics manufacturing campus in Greenville County with a $12.8 million investment.

The expansion is expected to create 60 new jobs over the next five years, according to a news release from the Greenville Area Development Corp. and the Commerce Department.

“We are always pleased when a global company like Bosch Rexroth chooses to expand and deepen its commitment yet again in Greenville County,” County Council Chairman Willis Meadows said in the news release.

“The company’s expertise in advanced manufacturing, emphasis on sustainability and passion for being good community leaders fit well in Greenville County, and we wish them continued success long into the future,” Meadows, also a member of the GADC board, said in the release.

The company’s manufacturing facility at 8 Southchase Court in Fountain Inn produces hydraulic pumps and motors used in construction, agriculture, mining, material handling and oil and gas exploration.

The expansion will enhance product development and testing capabilities and includes a new off-highway equipment testing area that will give Bosch Rexroth engineers the ability to test products on customer equipment, the news release said. This capability will allow for quicker innovation, rapid prototyping and faster customer response. It also will give the company a place to showcase and evaluate new and current products.

“We are very excited to see this continued investment in our business here in Greenville County, especially the investments linked to local R&D activities,” Bosch Rexroth Technical Plant Manager Mike McCormick said in the release.

The expansion is expected to be complete by 2025 and jobs will be filled by Greenville-based HTI.

"Fountain Inn has been proud to call Bosch Rexroth a member of our business community for over 30 years,” Fountain Inn Mayor G.P. McLeer said in the release. “We are ecstatic to see them continue to grow with this latest announcement of over $12 million in expansion and 100 new jobs. Their continued to commitment to Fountain Inn is a testament to our community’s local economy and that of our entire region.”
