A Child’s Haven gets $10K

A Child’s Haven in Greenville has received a $10,000 grant from Newman’s Own Foundation, the independent foundation created by the late actor and philanthropist Paul Newman. The award was made by Newman’s Own Foundation as part of its commitment to enhancing the lives of children with life-limiting conditions, according to a news release.

“The grant to A Child’s Haven will be used to provide quality treatment to better meet the needs of the children and families that we serve daily through therapeutic child care, individual therapy, home visitation, and parent education and support,” said Laurie Rovin, executive director of A Child’s Haven, in the release.

A Child’s Haven is dedicated to ensuring that all children in our community are prepared to start school and have families that nurture their success.

“We selected A Child’s Haven because we were looking for a charity in the area, and we have a grandchild now and children are important to us. We wanted to find some place that could use the money locally here that benefits children,” said Mike Polk, eastern regional sales manager for Newman’s Own Inc, in the release.
