Swing for the Green to benefit Safe Harbor
The Cliff’s Valley Ladies’ Golf Association will host its Swing for the Green Charity Golf Tournament on Sept. 13 to benefit Safe Harbor, a domestic violence agency serving Greenville, Anderson, Oconee and Pickens counties in South Carolina.
This year the association introduced a new element to the fundraiser — an online raffle for a three-day, two-night stay at The Cliffs at Keowee Falls Cottage Retreat. The package includes three rounds of golf for four at any Cliffs course, plus dinner for four at any Cliffs clubhouse, according to a news release.
The Cliff’s Valley Ladies’ Golf Association has contributed more than $118,000 in necessary funding for Safe Harbor’s programs, focusing on the important work of domestic violence prevention in area middle and high schools, as well as critical services for child witnesses of domestic violence, the release said.
