Meals on Wheels of Greenville delivered its 12 millionth meal in Greenville County last week Catriona Carlisle, executive director, and Barbara Burgess, a volunteer of more than 30 years, delivered the meal together. The recipients were Cecil and Virginia Rollins, who have been receiving Meals on Wheels free of charge since 2016, according to a news release.
“This is a tremendous milestone not only for our organization, but for our entire community,” Carlisle said, in the release. “The delivery of our 12 millionth meal is a testament to the generosity of our volunteers, donors, community partners and so many other who have made this possible.”
Meals on Wheels of Greenville’s 12 millionth meal delivery comes less than one month before the organization will celebrate 50 years of service to the community.
