Synnex Corp. and ScanSource are teaming up for a charity golf tournament to raise money for Project HOPE Foundation, a nonprofit organization offering a lifespan of services for the autism community. The annual Pelham Cup Charity Golf Tournament will begin at 8 a.m. at Legacy Pines Golf Club on Saturday, Aug. 24, according to a news release.
Pairs of employees from each company will compete head-to-head on the golf course, in teams of four. Each group will play 18 holes, earning one point each for the best front nine, best back nine and best overall scores. The first team to 70 points will win the Pelham Cup, which has consistently been passed back and forth for the past five years of the tournament. Synnex leads the series 3-2, the release said.
