Broad River Electric Cooperative rounds up $17,400 for nonprofits

Cherokee County’s Broad River Electric Cooperative donated $17,400 from its Operation Round Up fund to nine regional organizations, according to a new release from recipient Upstate Warrior Solution.

Alongside the Upstate Warrior Foundation — a nonprofit servicing veterans and their families — beneficiaries included Children’s Cancer Partners of the Carolinas, Cherokee County First Steps, United Way of the Piedmont, Spartanburg Regional Foundation, Cherokee County Meals on Wheels, Humane Society of Cherokee County, The Salvation Army of Spartanburg and Temple Education Ministries, according to the release.

Broad River Electric Cooperative’s Operation Round Up fund rounds up participants’ monthly balances and sends the difference to nonprofits in Cherokee, Union and Spartanburg counties every quarter.
