A week of giving is underway for The Mungo Homes Foundation.

The foundation this year will coordinate check presentations with team members performing company-allotted volunteer hours with a mission of “empowering community,” according to a news release.

This year the Mungo Homes Foundation Advisory Board in Greenville is announced its support to these charities:

Miracle Hill Ministries will receive a donation of $5,000 on Tuesday. Miracle Hill provides homeless children and adults with food and shelter, a Christian message, and movement toward healthy relationships and stability.

Shriners Children’s Hospital will be presented with a check for $10,000 on Tuesday to further the mission of providing quality care to children with neuromusculoskeletal conditions, burn injuries and other special health care needs within a compassionate, family-centered and collaborative care environment. The hospital strives to provide for the education of physicians and other health care professionals, and to conduct research to discover new knowledge that improves the quality of care and quality of life of children and families.

A recipient of a $5,000 donation, Safe Harbor seeks to influence a culture where all people are safe and valued in their relationships. Their mission is to provide a continuum of services for victims of domestic violence and their children and to eliminate cultural acceptance of domestic violence through a coordinated community response, prevention and education.

In addition, Mungo Team Members will use company-allotted volunteer hours to serve the needs of various charitable organizations of their choosing throughout the Upstate during its week of giving.

The Mungo Homes Foundation was established in 2021 with the mission of improving the communities in which Mungo builds by providing economic, educational, health, housing, and emergency hardship support for events such as natural disasters. A portion of each home sold is contributed to the foundation and is invested in the local community of that home.

Week of giving recipients were nominated by local Mungo Team Members and selected by each local Mungo Homes Foundation Board of Advisors based on qualifying criteria.
