David Evette has been named president of Quality Business Solutions in Travelers Rest. He replaces Pamela Evette, his wife, who stepped away from the role to serve as S.C. lieutenant governor.

“Since the day we founded QBS at our kitchen table, it has always been a labor of love for Pamela and me and our entire family,” David Evette said in a news release. “While times and leadership may change, we remain passionately dedicated to providing superior solutions and service for our clients and to being an employer of choice for our valued associates. Under my leadership, we will continue to look for new and better ways of doing business and building unique product offerings that fill industry gaps to drive progress.”

Evette has begun his tenure as president by investigating and implementing new technological solutions that will increase operating efficiencies for QBS and its clients, as well as launching new product and benefit offerings for QBS, the release said.

Among the new offerings is the Zayzoon Financial Wellness platform, a $5 flat-fee based payday loan service for employees of QBS customers. Through the wages-on-demand interface, employees who need access to funds can request an advance without notifying their employer. The advance amount is automatically deducted from their next paycheck, giving them additional financial flexibility and security while avoiding predatory lending, high interest rates or overdraft fees, according to the release.

Evette has also led a new partnership for QBS with professional employer organization Vensure. Through the partnership, QBS will have access to more tools and technologies, as well as shared resources “that will allow the company to offer a complete range of payroll, human resources and benefits solutions for clients,” the release said. Vensure has offices in Georgia, Arizona, Florida and Hawaii, according to the company’s website.

Founded by Pamela Evette nearly 20 years ago, QBS has grown from a startup to a $1 billion enterprise. QBS has appeared on the Inc. 5000 list of the fastest-growing privately held companies and has been named one of the Women Presidents’ Organization’s 50 Fastest Women-Owned/Led companies the past three years in a row. QBS has also been recognized as one of the Best Places to Work in South Carolina.
