Landmark Properties, the nation’s largest developer of student housing, has purchased Campus View Apartments, a 107-unit, 349-bed student housing complex next to Clemson University.

(Photo/Ross Norton)Campus View Apartments, across Walter Cox Boulevard from Clemson’s iconic Bowman Field, has two-, three-, and four-bedroom floor plans. Completed in 2014, the complex has amenities that include an outdoor courtyard, a clubhouse and bistro, swimming pool and a fitness center.

“The acquisition of Campus View Apartments further solidifies our market-leading position in key growth markets by expanding our presence at Tier 1 universities across the country,” Landmark Properties President and CEO Wes Rogers said in a news release. “Campus View is an outstanding community for students in Clemson and highlights our continued success in our strategic investment and development approach.”

Landmark currently operates 79 properties totaling a 50,600-bed portfolio worth more than $7.5 billion, the news release said.


2 Benton Road, Travelers RestAvison Young commercial real estate said Rakan Draz, John Odom and James McKay represented WFC Travelers Rest LLC in leasing 1,779 square feet 2 Benton Road, Travelers Rest, to The UPS Store.


Pete Brett and T Cox of Coldwell Banker Commercial Caine represented BJB Holdings LLC, which sold a 6,150-square-foot office building on about half of an acre at 9 Legrand Blvd. in Greenville to Legrand Group LLC.


Taylor Allen, Brantley Anderson and Bailey Tollison of Colliers represented PTRE Holdings LLC in the sale of a 21,200-square-foot office building at 18 E. North St. in Greenville to East North Investments LLC for $5.2 million.


Larry Webb, KDS Commercial Properties senior adviser, represented JBM Investments Group in leasing 1,653 square feet of office space at 1282 Pendleton St. in Greenville’s West End Village to Paramount Residential Mortgage Group. Larry Webb also represented JBM in leasing 843 square feet of retail space at 1282 Pendleton St. to The Opal Bride.  The Opal Bride was represented by Rakan Draz of Avison Young.


Geoff Beans of NAI Earle Furman represented the landlord, 117 Haywood Road LLC, in leasing a 2,962-square-foot retail space at 117 Haywood Road, Suite B, Greenville, to VLove Esthetics LLC.


Michael Roth and Geoff Beans of NAI Earle Furman represented the landlord, Sun Management Corp., in leasing a 2,700-square-foot retail space at 1120 N. Pleasantburg Drive, Suite 302B, in Greenville to Global Staffing Solutions LLC.


Chris Springfield of Sperry Commercial Global Affiliates-Griffin Partners represented the seller in the sale of a 30,000-square-foot flex industrial property in Chesnee. The process included a short due diligence period with 60 days contract to closing. It sold above the original asking price at $1.25 million and included the business assets as well as five acres of land. This out-of-region buyer will be bringing more jobs to the Chesnee area, according to a news release.


David Sigmon, and Matt Vanvick of Pintail Capital Partners represented the landlord, Coker & Carlin Properties LLC, in the lease of 2,44 square feet of office space at 1003 Grove Road to Hospice & Palliative Care Charlotte Region.


David Sigmon and Matt Vanvick of Pintail Capital Partners represented the buyer, PoinsettAlliance Holdings LLC, in the purchase of a 7,500-square-foot flex building at 179 Verdin Road in Greenville from seller Standridge Management Group LLC.


Lakin Parr of Pintail Capital Partners represented the buyer, WDC Whiteville LLC, in the purchase of 3.39 acres located in Whiteville, N.C., from seller Hooks & Huggins Development LLC.
