Walden Oaks in AndersonFogelman Properties has purchased Walden Oaks, a 240-unit apartment community in Anderson, in a joint venture with Thackeray Partners.

Fogelman is a privately owned multifamily investment and property management company.

Walden Oaks was built in 2007 and is 97% occupied with one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments, according to a news release. The company will undergo renovations to all interior units with enhancements to the fitness center, clubhouse and pool area.

“Anderson, S.C., is the top ranked submarket in the Greenville MSA for rent growth,” Mike Aiken, senior vice president of investments at Fogelman, said in the news release. “We are excited to make another investment in the Upstate region and add Walden Oaks to our expanding portfolio with Thackeray.”

Fogelman has made 14 joint purchases with Dallas-based Thackeray Partners, a portfolio that includes more than 2,700 units, the release said.

Fogelman specializes in multifamily acquisitions, property management, construction management, and asset management. Nationwide, Fogelman operates 94 multifamily communities totaling more than 28,000 apartment homes across 12 states.

9 East Ave. in Greenville Avison Young commercial real estate said Chris Prince represented Hearsay Properties LLC. in the sale of 2,000 square feet of office space at 9 East Ave. in Greenville to Ascend Construction LLC.


Harry Croxton of Coldwell Banker Commercial Caine represented Barwick & Associates LLC in the sale of a 10,756-square-foot retail center on a lot at 3180-3190 Wade Hampton Blvd. in Taylors to Taylors Center LLC.


Wiley North of Coldwell Banker Commercial Caine represented George N. and Judy B. Psillas, who sold a 1,980-square-foot retail building on a lot at 249 E. Main St. in Spartanburg to McKillop Business Group LLC.


Taylor Allen, Brantley Anderson and Bailey Tollison of Colliers represented LICAR LLC in the lease of 15,441 square feet of office space at 1 Research Drive in Greenville to ABB Inc.


Richard Barrett of Colliers South Carolina represented Kinney Hill Associates in the lease of 9,300 square feet of industrial space at 100 Corporate Center Drive to Source One LLC.


Mike Kiriakides, KDS Commercial Properties broker in charge, and Rickey Heaton, KDS Commercial Properties adviser, represented WCZ Investments LLC in the purchase of a newly built Dollar General off Highway 417 at 315 Silver Grove Road, Simpsonville.


Josh Tew and Monty Todd of Pintail Capital Partners represented the buyer, Valentine Investment, in the purchase of a 3,866-square-foot office building at 19 Halton Green Way in Greenville from seller Harwood Investment Properties.


Peter Couchell and Rob Schmidt of Furman Capital Advisors, an investment service division of NAI Earle Furman, represented the buyer in the purchase of a Dollar General located at 3597 Highway 11 in Travelers Rest from Patton Development SC LLC.


Jason Richards of NAI Earle Furman represented the seller, 101 Mill Street LLC, in the sale of a 4,400-square-foot retail investment property at 101 Mill St. in Williamston to Robert Maslow.


John D. Gray Jr. of NAI Earle Furman represented the seller in the sale of a 7,000-square-foot office building at 10 Centimeters Drive in Mauldin to Zeller Properties LLC.
