Colliers South Carolina senior brokerage associate Richard Barrett represented Berry Shoals Industrial LLC in the lease of about 80,000 square feet of industrial space at 961 Berry Shoals Road in Spartanburg to Clear Touch Technologies.

The industrial building is located off S.C. Highway 101 near Interstate 85. Colliers represented Berry Shoals Industrial LLC, a subsidiary of a Chicago-based investment group, in the purchase of the building in September and leased it in just two weeks.

“This property was a strong acquisition for us,” Frank Beidler, director of investments for the acquiring investment group, said in a news release. “While vacant, we worked quickly to improve the site and leased it to a tenant we have worked with for years.”

Founded in 2012, Clear Touch Technologies is a manufacturer of interactive touch panels and accessories as well as digital signage displays and solutions for education, government and business industries around the world. The technology provider started their business in Greenville in a 5,600-square-foot flex space, according to the release. After several expansions, the company has grown to occupy more than 80,000 square feet.

“Clear Touch’s expansion emphasizes our continued success and commitment to our roots in South Carolina,” Keone Trask, president of Clear Touch Technologies, said in the release. “The global supply chain crisis forced us to pivot to manage our own logistics, in turn giving us the greatest flexibility to meet the demands of our obstacles. Despite the obstacles of the current time, we remain diligent in our goals of revolutionizing the field of educational technology. We are proud to represent South Carolina and will continue to do our best to benefit the community.”
