They call themselves three “partners, friends and moms” but now Kim Banks, Lindsay Chastain and Liza Jones can call themselves store owners.
Only Southern Made, a store specializing in various Southern-themed items, has opened at 102 Trade St. in downtown Greer. According to a news release, the store sells items ranging “from candles to tea towels and jewelry to home décor.” Many of the items are handmade by independent artisans from around the Southeast, including Greenville.
“Here, we know being southern isn't about perfection with pearls and bowties, it's about keeping it real, and about laughing with family and friends. It’s about making the effort, whether hosting a fabulous party, rocking a great outfit, bringing the perfect hostess gift, or mailing a handwritten note to a friend who needs a smile,” said Chastain, who serves as the store’s creative director and head buyer, in a news release.
Kyle Mensing, commercial development director for the Greer Development Corporation, said Only Southern Made was a good fit for the downtown area.
“Their passion and energy fit right in here in Greer, and their product line is a great addition to community. In fact, their product line serves as a reflection of Greer; a mix of historic Southern charm and bold new ideas,” Mensing said, in the release.
According to the release, the store’s inventory will change and its hours are 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and noon to 5:30 p.m. on Saturday.
