Retail-delivery service Instacart has expanded into Greenville. A variety of stores are participating in the service, which offers deliveries in as little as an hour.
According to a news release, 192,000 households in the Greenville area can now order from their favorite retailers like Whole Foods Market, Publix, ABC Fine Wine & Spirits, Costco and Petco.
Areas of service include Greenville, Mauldin, Wade Hampton, Simpsonville, Taylors, Greer, Easley and Powdersville. Delivery areas can be found online. Instacart is also bringing new jobs to the area with plans to bring on more than 100 new shoppers, according to the release.
“Over the past year we’ve seen incredible demand in the Greenville area,” said Nick Friedrich, Instacart general manager, in the release. “We work with a variety of local retailers to provide the freshest, highest quality groceries to our customers. Expansion into Greenville gives us an opportunity to expand service in the South Carolina market. We’re also excited to build a world class shopper community, where we can offer fun and flexible jobs for our shoppers, who ultimately deliver this amazing service to the community.”
The Instacart service is available online or through its mobile app.
