Piano maker Steinway & Sons has opened a showroom in Suiet A at 743 Congaree Road in Greenville. The opening will be celebrated over the next several months with a series of events for area teachers, technicians, and individuals and families, according to a news release.

The showroom, part of Steinway Piano Galleries of the Carolinas, was opened by CEO Mark Love and his wife Katherine.

“We are thrilled to have the opportunity to bring Steinway to Greenville and the Upstate,” Mark Love said in the release. “Katherine and I have been so impressed with the vitality and energy in this thriving community, and we are committed to participating in the amazing growth of the Upstate area. Steinway Piano Gallery Greenville will be actively involved in supporting arts and culture and will work with like-minded individuals, organizations and institutions to promote active music making throughout our area.”

The new gallery joins Steinway’s family of showrooms in handling sales and service of the entire line of Steinway pianos, from concert grands to traditional uprights, the release said. The showroom features student rental pianos, concert and event rental instruments, and a separate performance space for master classes, workshops, concerts and private piano recitals for area piano teachers.

Steinway Piano Galleries of the Carolinas also has showrooms in Charlotte and Greensboro, N.C.
