HRP Associates, Inc. (HRP) is highlighting 2017 with an ongoing celebration of their 35th anniversary. Created in 1982 with the goal of helping clients navigate through the newly enacted Resource and Recovery Act (RCRA) rules and regulations, HRP’s founders’ ambition to also embody their personal and professional values led to their launch of a Connecticut-based company whose early successes confirmed the company’s reputation for attention to detail and client-focused results.
New years brought new challenges and new demands from their markets and clients, but HRP evolved to meet those needs, and ten years later, HRP recognized the opportunity to open an office in South Carolina.
“Investing in the Upstate with our regional office in 1993 dramatically increased our ability to provide compliance services for clients and expand HRP’s potential,” said Vice President Tad Goetcheus, PE, who was the sole employee at the Greenville office that has since increased to a staff of more than 20 at the Miller Road location alone. Since then, the company has diversified its environmental and engineering services, preserved the character and spirit of the original founders, and enlarged their portfolio of private and public sector clients.
“Our regional offices have led the expansion of our services and geographic reach,” said CEO Andrew White. “The Greenville office consistently remains one of our most successful offices due to the dedicated leadership based there, the hard work of our talented employees, and the amazing potential of the Upstate business market.”
HRP provides a full range of environmental and civil engineering consulting services, which include the investigation and remediation of environmental impacts from the past and some that focus on improving current industrial operations like EHS compliance programs, industrial hygiene and exposure assessments, OSHA services and web-based learning management systems.
“HRP has the unique ability to responsively serve our Upstate clients whether they have one plant in Fountain Inn or a globally distributed portfolio of real estate on multiple continents,” said Greenville office Regional Manager Shaun Malin, PG. “Our resources include 120 dedicated professionals and support staff located in nine U.S. offices, supplemented by our overseas teaming partners in more than 20 countries throughout the Americas, Europe and Asia.”
“Our job remains minimizing the environmental risks associated with our client’s projects and helping them reach their intended business goals,” added Goetcheus. “HRP is honored to celebrate 35 years of success and remains excited about many more years of moving Greenville and our global environment forward.”
