Two companies in the Upstate are among the recent recipients of accelerator grants awarded by SCRA. The grants, which can total up to $50,000 per company, are designed to prepare companies for a future SC Launch investment, according to a news release.

Simpliphy is a Greenville-based startup software company. Its cloud-based web application allows healthcare organizations to manage physician compensation. The software provides customizable dashboards and the flexibility to handle any complex compensation models.

Medical Beam Laboratories LLC is a Clemson University spin-off that develops advanced robotic radiosurgery systems to overcome the field’s current limitations. The company is developing more efficient and effective technology for oncology radiation for human and veterinary applications.

Delta Bravo, in Rock Hill, uses artificial intelligence and machine learning to forecast data breaches, compliance violations and performance problems up to 30 days before they happen, and provides code or step-by-step instructions for the fix.

Leukogene Therapeutics is a Charleston-based biotechnology startup developing a platform of targeted therapies for patients with advanced cancers. Based on research from the Medical University of South Carolina the company is focusing on developing new treatments for drug resistant multiple myeloma and other cancer types.

Citibot, in Charleston, is a communication tool that gives users access to quickly report an issue, find information or ask a question directly to local government and get an instant response via text message. Citibot recently announced its Version 2.0 product launch with Charleston County and has customers in Texas, Virginia and New Jersey.

Better IV LLC is a medical device startup that seeks to further develop and bring to market their patented design for a device that has better peripheral intravenous access. The device enables a safer, longer lasting and more comfortable IV experience for patients and no special training or equipment is required for use by medical staff.
