Immedion LLC, a Greenville-based provider of data center, cloud services and managed services, plans to acquire Integral Solutions Group, a full-service IT company and data center operator based in Spartanburg.
The acquisition is expected to close by the end of September, according to a news release. This announcement comes not long after Immedion’s acquisition of a center in Columbus, Ind., and will bring Immedion to nine data centers in seven markets.
“Since day one, our passion has been to help local businesses solve their IT problems through the delivery of reliable, secure and ‘always on’ solutions,” Immedion CEO Frank Mobley said in the release. “This continues to be our top priority, and we believe the added capacity and technical resources from Integral will be beneficial as we continue to serve the current and future needs of our markets.”
A company representative said no layoffs will occur as a result of the purchase.
Founded in 1987 by JM Smith Corp., Integral Solutions Group operates a 6,000-square-foot, purpose-built data center in Spartanburg and has offices in Greenville and Charleston.
Immedion was founded in 2007 and expanded its operations with S.C. data center facilities in Columbia, Charleston, Greenville and Rock Hill, as well as locations in Asheville, N.C., Columbus, Ind., and Cincinnati.
