Greenlink launches smartphone app

Greenlink has launched FindGreenlink, a new smartphone app for Android and iOS devices designed to remove the guesswork for customers by providing real-time tracking of Greenlink buses. The free app allows riders to plan their trips and access general information, according to a news release.

With the new app, Greenlink customers can:

• Locate nearby bus stops
• Search for a bus stop by tapping on the map
• Get real-time arrival information
• See published bus schedules
• Track the bus live on the map
• Bookmark favorite stops
• See how full the bus is

Gary Shepard, Greenlink’s public transportation director, said the majority of the phone calls Greenlink receives come from customers who want to know if they have missed the bus.

“This user-friendly tool will help new and existing Greenlink customers feel more confident by providing accurate arrival times for our vehicles,” said Shepard, in the release. “As an added benefit, we hope it will prove that Greenlink is a reliable form of transportation for our community.”
