Greenville Spartanburg International Airport is hosting a community meeting on Tuesday, Aug. 14, to discuss updates to the airport’s master plan.

The meeting is open to the public and is scheduled for 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Airport Conference Center, inside the GSP terminal. McFarland Johnson, an airport master plan consultant, and GSP representatives will discuss draft study findings, according to a news release.

Topics for the 20-year airport planning will include an overview of existing facilities, forecasts of aviation activity, facility requirements, environmental considerations and various draft development alternatives.

The GSP Master Plan allows the airport to plan for future aviation demand and comply with Federal Aviation Administration requirements. Once approved, the master plan will become the airport’s official planning document with the FAA. Public input obtained at the meeting will be considered during finalization of the master plan, the release said.
