BMW Charity Pro-Am presented by Synnex Corp. will support local charities through a Tournament Week of Giving hosted June 1-7 in lieu of its canceled 2020 tournament.

The event will feature an online auction spotlighting local regional experiences, trips, autographed sports memorabilia and other items beginning at 10 a.m. on June 1 with proceeds benefiting Mobile Meals of Spartanburg, Prisma Health Children’s Hospital-Upstate, Roper Mountain Science Center, The Cliffs Residents Outreach, Cancer Society of Greenville County and Meyer Center for Special Children, according to a news release.

The tournament, one leg of the Professional Golf Association’s Korn Ferry Tour, has raised $13.6 million for Upstate charities, according to the release. Birdies for Charity participants can receive proceeds from any items they donate for sale in the auction.

“The 2020 BMW Charity Pro-Am presented by Synnex Corp. builds on two decades of

giving back to the community through golf and goodwill,” Bob Nitto, president of South Carolina Charities Inc., said in the release. “As disappointed as we are for having to cancel this year’s anniversary tournament, we are thrilled to continue our mission of making an impact to our local community.”
