One of the country’s largest manufacturers of precast concrete will have a new CEO this summer after the company’s chief executive steps down.

Tindall CEO Greg Force will retire after 36 years with the company on June 30, the company announced in a news release.

Tindall provides engineering, manufacturing, shipping and installation solutions for precast, prestressed concrete systems and underground utility structures.

“Over the past 36 years, Greg has been instrumental to the success of Tindall.” Willy Lowndes, chairman of Tindall, said in the news release. “His vision and leadership have brought the company to where it is today. We honor his excellent service to our team and celebrate the legacy that Greg will leave behind.”

Force graduated from Lehigh University with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and later obtained an MBA from Georgia College & State University. He is a registered professional engineer in 10 states and has held positions in engineering, sales, operations and project management prior to his executive assignments, according to the release.

Joining Tindall in 1988 as chief engineer at the newly formed Tindall Concrete Virginia Inc. (now Virginia Division of Tindall Corp.), Force was promoted to vice president and general manager of the division in 1998. He transferred to corporate in 2004 as president and chief operation officer, a position he held for 14 years before becoming CEO in 2018.

“I am both humbled and honored to have had the opportunity to lead such an organization made up of so many outstanding people,” Force said in the release. “There have been countless successes to celebrate and numerous challenges to navigate. We’ve undertaken many rewarding opportunities to synergistically create innovative market solutions across a broad spectrum of sectors.  It’s gratifying to know the ‘can-do’ attitude and the dedication to doing what’s right are both alive and well at Tindall. I am confident they will continue to inspire the company’s future growth.”

Company President Cheryl Lang’s role will be expanded to president and CEO, effective July 1, the release stated.

Headquartered in Spartanburg, Tindall Corp. is one of North America’s largest precast concrete manufacturers. Tindall’s two business groups have facilities throughout the Mid-Atlantic, Southeastern and South-Central United States.
