Spartanburg Community College will host the next Professional Speakers Series featuring Ricaye Harris, director of diversity and inclusion at Milliken & Co. The event, presented in partnership with First Citizens Bank, is noon to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 23, at the college’s downtown campus.

"The First Citizens Speaker Series provides our students and community residents a first-hand opportunity to learn more about careers, professional pathways and an opportunity to meet movers and shakers in our community," Witney Fisher, executive director of the Spartanburg Community College downtown campus, said in a news release. "We are excited to welcome Ricaye Harris to the college to share her professional experiences with our students and guests."

Harris joined Milliken & Co. in 2005 as a process improvement specialist at Milliken's Gayley Manufacturing Plant. Following that role, she held various positions within Milliken's manufacturing and corporate human resources team, ranging from human resources employment manager, change management coordinator, human resources generalist and corporate recruiter.

Tickets for the event are available online.
