Greenville staffing company acquires 5th Louisiana franchise office

A Greenville-based staffing company has acquired a fifth franchise office of a Louisiana company.

Greenville based SLG Staffing LLC, the owner and operator of Snelling Staffing Services franchise offices in South Carolina, Kentucky and Virginia and the HireQuest Direct office in Tulsa, Okla., has acquired a fifth franchise office in Baton Rouge, La., which is the 11th acquisition for parent company SLG Investment Holdings LLC, according to a news release.

“We are thrilled to acquire the Baton Rouge, LA branch of Snelling Staffing, locally known as Snelling Industrial (formerly LINK Staffing) as well as the staffing assets of KLS, Inc.,” states Sharon Gordon, founder and CEO of SLG Staffing and SLG Investment Holdings LLC, in the release.  “KLS has served the businesses and people of Baton Rouge for almost 30 years.” She continues, “we are ready to continue the rich history of this business in Baton Rouge and continuing to build out our portfolio of staffing operations nationwide.”

The office is located at 12097 Old Hammond Hwy, Suite E1 in Baton Rouge.

Snelling Staffing Services was founded in 1951 on the premise of “helping others achieve the success they desire” and has become a leader in the professional staffing and placement industry, the release stated. The company and its affiliates, currently operate over 200 offices nationwide.

SLG Staffing LLC, founded by Sharon Gordon, the author of “Female Entrepreneurship is Not a Myth — Women Building Businesses for Greater Wealth” seeks to build and grow a portfolio of businesses in employment, staffing and recruiting operations throughout the country, the release stated. The company currently owns and operates four Snelling Staffing Services franchises in the Southeast, Midwest, andMid‐Atlantic regions and one HireQuest Direct office in the Southwest.

The company is a wholly owned subsidiary of SLG Investment Holdings LLC, based in Greenville, a strategic investor, operator, and manager of diverse businesses nationwide, according to the release.
