GREENVILLE, S.C. — Joan Herlong & Associates Sotheby’s International Realty has added Beau Sylvester as a Sales Associate in its Clemson Lakes office.

Sylvester earned his bachelor’s from Louisiana State University and his law degree (with honors) from Southern University. He was the managing partner in a private law firm for a decade before moving into the corporate world working as a director in the legal divisions for Walmart and Asurion. Some of his honors include earning the Augie Cross Volunteer of the Year Award from the LSU Tiger Athletic Foundation in 2006, and he was the Louisiana State Bar Young Lawyers Chair in 1996.

After becoming empty nesters, he and his wife moved to the Upstate in 2023. They fell in love with The Cliffs on Lake Keowee and made their new home there. Sylvester has bought and sold numerous houses with his wife and he’s always loved the real estate process. After moving to the area, he decided it would be great to put his years of negotiation, due diligence, compliance, and project management to work helping others in the market to buy or list their homes.
