MCA acquires CodeLynx Inc.

Spartanburg-based Mobile Communications America Inc. has acquired CodeLynx Inc., a security systems and custom software engineering solutions firm.

"CodeLynx strengthens our growing security portfolio and provides further diversity to our solution offerings,” Vince Foody, CEO of MCA, said in a Dec. 4 news release. “It's also a strong cultural fit as we share a deep commitment to quality and customer service. This is an exciting addition to the MCA family."

According to the release, CodeLynx will round out MCA’s suite of products with its security profile of access control, video surveillance and intrusion detection services with a complementary software division for governance, risk and compliance. The company, founded in North Charleston in 2003, has been recognized as a Microsoft Gold Partner and Microsoft Azure Partner in the commercial and government space with a range of commercial, federal and state customers throughout the country.

Mobile Communications America serves 30,000 customers with workplace wireless communication services, according to the release.
