A popular Greenville brewery revealed on social media that it’s moving from its location in the city’s Overbrook neighborhood.

In the post, Tetrad Brewing Co., 603 E. Stone Ave., said it is in the process of transitioning into a new space, which was not disclosed. It was expecting minimum downtime, according to the post.

“Alas, that is not the case,” the post stated.

Tetrad’s lease ends at the end of June and it has yet to cement details on its new location, “so we will have a few months when we won’t be able to serve you our great beers with friendly smiles,” the post stated.

John Bucher and Chad Tydings opened Tetrad nearly five years ago, according to its website. The duo lived in various locations, including Alaska, Oregon, Utah, New York and Vermont, before settling in Greenville, according to the site.

The last day at the Stone Avenue location will be June 22, according to the post. It just so happens Tetrad’s last day will coincide with its annual Pints 4 Pups event, which supports Greenville County Animal Care. That event will be from 1 to 5 p.m. at Hampton Station.

Beginning at noon on June 22 the taproom on Stone Avenue will raffle off prizes, and more, according to the post. A “See Ya Later” party will start at 5 p.m.

The brewery also will be offering a 25% discount on everything in the taproom, including beer and merchandise.

Tetrad encouraged people to follow its social media channels for updates on its new location.

“Thank you, Greenville, for all the love over these first nearly five years,” the post stated. “Come celebrate with us, talk about the memories we’ve had in our ‘starter home,’ enjoy the beers, crank up the music, and cheers to the next chapter!”
