S.C. brokers receive award for top performance nationwide

Colliers brokers John Montgomery, Chuck Salley, Garrett Scott and Brockton Hall were awarded Colliers USA’s Everest Award for top production in 2021. The Everest Club recognizes the top 10% of Colliers professionals in the United States based on revenue produced.

All recipients of this year’s award in South Carolina specialize in industrial brokerage with three of the awardees belonging to the Greenville-Spartanburg team and one from the Columbia team.

“Being named a recipient of the Colliers Everest Award signifies extraordinary market expertise and these individual’s superior performance in representing their clients,” John W. Folsom, president and CEO of Colliers South Carolina, said in a news release. “These award-winning industrial brokers provide clients with superior insights and strategies which deliver exceptional results year after year.”

MontgomeryMontgomery is a managing director in Colliers’ Spartanburg office and is an expert in master-planned communities and industrial development projects. Specializing in industrial brokerage, he guides clients through the development process from land acquisition and development through lease-up, according to the news release. He is a graduate of the Liberty Fellowship Program, the National Outdoor Leadership School and he has served on the board of trustees for Converse College, the board of directors for Glenn Springs Academy, Boys and Girls Clubs of the Upstate, SAFE Homes Rape Crisis Coalition, Spartanburg Community College Foundation and the University of South Carolina Upstate Foundation.

He is a member of the Episcopal Church of the Advent and is the current chairman of the Commission of Public Works for the city of Spartanburg as well as a commissioner for Spartanburg Sanitary Sewer District. He graduated from the University of the South and has a Master of Real Estate Development degree from Columbia University. He obtained the professional designation of Society of Industrial and Office Realtors in 2022.

SalleySalley is a managing director in Colliers’ Columbia office and specializes in all aspects of industrial brokerage including leasing, sales, build-to-suit, site acquisition, investment sales and consulting. He holds the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors designation and is past president of the Carolinas chapter. He led the team that earned SIOR’s worldwide 2020 Top Industrial and Investment Transaction Awards. He is a Life Member of the Central Carolina Realtors Association Circle of Excellence, a member of the South Carolina Economic Developers Association and the Central SC Alliance Committee of 100. He is a former chair of the Palmetto Health Children’s Hospital board, former board member of the Congaree Land Trust and recently completed serving a three-year term on the city of Columbia Board of Zoning Appeals as chair. Salley graduated from the University of South Carolina.

ScottScott is a managing director in Colliers’ Spartanburg office and specializes in leasing, sales and development advisory services for industrial properties throughout the Greenville-Spartanburg market and the Southeast. He has been involved in the planning, acquisition and implementation of more than 31 industrial parks and 38 million square feet of industrial space in key manufacturing and distribution markets. In 2018, he obtained the professional SIOR designation. Scott is an active member of both the Colliers Logistics & Transportation Group and Colliers’ Automotive Desk. He is a current board member of The Piedmont Club and former board member of Clemson University’s Board of Visitors and The Humanities Council. He is also a member of the South Carolina Economic Developers’ Association and Spartanburg Association of Realtors. He is a graduate of Clemson University.

HallHall is a vice president in Colliers’ Spartanburg office and specializes in the representation of industrial landlords and tenants throughout the Southeast. He is an adviser on industrial projects throughout the Greenville-Spartanburg region, helping occupiers, developers and investors make strategic real estate decisions for their business, according to the news release. Hall has previous experience in the construction industry including working on projects in K-12, office and institutional. He also has renovation and retrofitting experience. He has been recognized as a CoStar Power Broker for the past five consecutive years, has received Colliers’ Rising Star Award, five Colliers Top Producer Awards, and the 2018 Transaction of the Year Award. Hall graduated from Clemson University with Bachelor of Science and Master of Real Estate Development degrees. He has been a designated member of SIOR since 2020.
