SCMEP Publishes Advanced Manufacturing Technology Resource Guide

GREENVILLE, S.C. — To help manufacturers understand how to leverage the latest technological advances and find partners who can support them in those efforts, the South Carolina Manufacturing Extension Partnership has created a comprehensive Advanced Manufacturing Technology Resource Guide. SCMEP is providing the AMT Resource Guide for download at no cost.

As one of the nation’s leaders in advanced manufacturing, South Carolina has a strong ecosystem of resources to assist manufacturers adopt and benefit from these new advanced manufacturing technologies. Navigating the technology ecosystem — especially for small and medium sized manufacturers — can be challenging. Developing the AMT Resource Guide is just one way in which SCMEP is helping bridge that gap.

“Increasingly, manufacturers are taking advantage of a new set of tools and technologies to tackle traditional challenges such as reducing costs, improving quality and delivery performance, and providing a safer work environment,” said SCMEP President/CEO Andy Carr. “These tools and technologies are part of what is broadly known as Manufacturing 4.0, Industry 4.0, Smart Manufacturing or Advanced Manufacturing.
