It’s official.

Another breakfast restaurant — known for its abundance of egg dishes such as benedicts and omelets — will be making its way into Mauldin territory.

The Eggs Up Grill franchise is opening its 12th Upstate location at 439 N. Main St. —the largest location to date and first to house a fryer for Southern staples like chicken and waffles.

The Mauldin location will make owner Conley McIntyre’s sixth Eggs Up Grill location in South Carolina, with the other locations in Anderson, Powdersville, two in Greenville, and the one in Simpsonville. He also owns the New York Butcher Shoppe in Simpsonville.

“I live in Simpsonville and am in Mauldin often. I’ve been watching the growth in Mauldin and love the community,” said McIntyre. “I am excited to be a part of the growth in the area.”

McIntyre will hire approximately 35 employees for this location and said he plans to open additional Eggs Up Grill franchises in the future.

“Eggs Up Grill is all about neighbors serving neighbors and will be heavily involved in the community and be able to support local organizations,” said McIntyre.

Eggs Up Grill Mauldin is anticipated to open late summer.
