Hope Center for Children gets AFL grant
Spartanburg-headquartered AFL has given a $7,365 grant to Hope Center for Children, an organization that protects children and supports families through residential and community-based prevention programs. Made possible by AFL’s Community Outreach Program, the grant will support the center’s Transitional Living Program, providing funding for case management, housing and supplies.
The Transitional Living Program provides shelter for teens who are homeless or may be aging out of foster care. It serves teens and young adults ages 16 to 22 and is one of two programs like this in the state; the other program is in Charleston.
