Converse College recognized for community service

(Photo/Provided)Converse College student athletes and athletic staff gave more than 3,700 volunteer hours of service during the 2017-2018 academic year, making the school the sixth highest reporting Division II athletic program in the country for completion of community service hours, according to a news release.

Over this past year, Converse athletic teams volunteered at the Spartanburg County Humane Society, Spartanburg Regional Foundation Thanksgiving "Blessings in a Box" for Hospice Families in the Upstate, Spartanburg Junior Tennis Team League, First Presbyterian Church coat drive and Jesse S. Bobo Elementary School.
