After more than six years in the Village of West Greenville, a local watering hole will be closing its doors on Dec. 30.

The Growler Haus will be closing its location at 12 Lois Ave., but its Main Street address in Anderson will remain open, according to a Growler Haus social media post. The establishment is known for its craft beer selection while also offering light bites and handhelds.

From 2012-17, a Growler Haus was launched in five locations. Apart from Anderson and Greenville, there were locations in Spartanburg, Fountain Inn, and Greer — by 2024, there will be one location.

“We started the Growler Haus concept 12+ years ago as an experiment to gain knowledge in small business startups coming from a corporate background of 20+ years,” the post stated. “Craft beer was trending at the time. We reviewed the coffee shop business model and created Growler Haus. Our goal was to offer the best craft beer in the Village of West Greenville in a comfortable business environment to bring the community together and grow in complementing areas. We want to thank all the employees, patrons, musicians, artists, and the Village community for the time we shared in the Village of West Greenville. We will close our doors on 12/30/23. Come out and enjoy one more pint in the Growler Haus Village of West Greenville location. Cheers.”

There are already interested parties in the space, according to the post.
