It’s no longer a secret: South Carolina is one of the fastest-growing advanced manufacturing hubs in the Southeast.

That’s especially true when it comes to the automotive industry, with South Carolina accelerating electric vehicle initiatives and opportunities to bring the future of manufacturing right to our own backyard.

The Palmetto State also is on the leading edge nationally of other key sectors like aerospace and especially life sciences, where South Carolina is outpacing its peer regions in Florida and North Carolina.

So it’s with good reason that we shine a light on the Palmetto State’s manufacturing sector with the 2022 South Carolina Manufacturing Conference & Expo. The event takes place Thursday and Friday at the Greenville Convention Center.

We are proud to partner again this year with SCMEP — the South Carolina Manufacturing Extension Partnership — along with the S.C. Council on Competitiveness, the S.C. Research Authority and the S.C. Technical College System.

This year’s event will include interactive displays focusing on artificial intelligence and technology. (You might even spot a robotic dog making its way around the expo.)

Attendees can peruse a wide variety of manufacturing-related booths, enjoy an awards luncheon and have an almost unlimited number of opportunities for business-to-business interaction.
