For its third consecutive year, Grateful Brew will host its signature “A Very Grateful Christmas” event presented by Creature Comforts Brewing Co. of Athens, GA and benefiting YouthBASE. This free event is open to the general public and will be held at Grateful Brew, 501 S Pleasantburg Drive on December 9th from 10am – 4pm. A suggested donation to YouthBASE will be collected at the door.

Grateful Brew is proud to bring this annual Christmas event to the Greenville community and to support the mission of YouthBASE, a local nonprofit providing educational intervention to at-risk children through its afterschool and summer programs. Owner Deb York explains, “George [Linn] (co-owner) and I wanted to create a fun family-friendly Christmas event that would bring people together to get in the holiday spirit, have fun photos with Santa, enjoy meeting neighbors and friends, and just kick back during this busy season. It was also important to us to choose a local charity to support that we felt was really making an impact in Greenville. We are so excited to partner with YouthBASE again this year, and we hope that this event raises even more money and awareness to improve young kids’ lives.”

Founded in Greenville, SC in 2006, YouthBASE’s mission is to equip students in K-5 through 2nd grades with the behavioral, academic, social, and emotional skills they need in order to succeed at school, home, and in the community. “This is an event we look forward to all year and Grateful Brew is such a generous partner. I can’t think of a better way to support a local small business while expanding educational opportunities for young children, so I hope people come out for this fun event,“ Melissa Huff, Executive Director of YouthBASE.

This free family event will include a dog-friendly photoshoot with Santa, a kid-friendly holiday arts & crafts making area, seasonal coffee & beer, and a raffle featuring five curated raffle packages each valued over $300. The raffle includes an exclusive Creature Comforts Brewing VIP tour of its taproom in Athens, GA. Raffle tickets may be purchased for $5 a ticket either pre-event on YouthBASE’s website under the ‘Events’ tab or during the event on December 9th.
