Greenville native, outpatient therapist earns Auburn Vocational Evaluation Forensic Certificate

Greenville native, Dede Norungolo, certified rehabilitation counselor, and owner/operator of Reintegrate Counseling, LLC, recently earned a Vocational Evaluation Forensic Certificate through Auburn University’s College of Education.

This certificate, which is awarded following the successful completion of eight graduate-level courses, “incorporates current knowledge and training on societal trends in the areas of economics, forensics, employment, and evaluation, serving to enhance and improve students’ education, ultimately leading to greater employment for individuals with disabilities, according to the university,” according to Auburn University. Norungolo, a recipient of a Rehabilitation Services Administration scholarship, earned a 3.83 GPA to satisfy the certification requirements.

“Having experienced a traumatic brain injury more than 23 years ago,” Norungolo said, “I have a different perspective on access and functional needs. If I can help someone to discover transferable skills, address resilience, and be a support during any sort of life transition I will continue to seek educational opportunities to build into my practice.”

Norungolo, who founded her outpatient therapy practice in the upstate, has been working in the field of accessibility and disability services since 2006. She is a certified rehabilitation counselor, licensed professional counselor, licensed addiction counselor, and alcohol and drug counselor.
