Broadstreet, Inc., a Greenville-based private equity firm, hosted several local Upstate businesses on November 2 at Flour Field for a flag football tournament that raised $30,000 for Sunday Dinner with a Twist, a local nonprofit with a mission to feed the homeless community and offer basic needs for survival in their current situation.

“We’re grateful for the participation of everyone who joined us for the second annual flag football tournament,” said Joseph Baldassarra, president of Broadstreet, Inc. “Being a part of this great community fills us with pride, and we’re excited to play some ball with amazing people, all in support of an organization dedicated to improving the lives of the homeless in our community.”

WYFF Sports Director, Marc Whiteman, served as the master of ceremonies for the tournament, which included the following teams:

• Contender Development
• Durham Homes, USA
• Sunday Dinner with a Twist
• Dinner Time
• Phoenix Financial
• Broadstreet

“We express our heartfelt gratitude to Broadstreet for the incredible opportunity to participate in the Tournament,” said Redd Martin, founder of Sunday Dinner with a Twist. “Their support enables us to continue our mission of reaching those who are facing homelessness, a struggle I have personally experienced, and providing them with a comforting, home-cooked meal to make their lives a little brighter.”

In the spirit of friendly competition, Broadstreet donated $1,000 for every touchdown scored against them and served ballpark favorite beverages and snacks.
