Monday Prisma webinar will cover workplace vaccinations

A live webinar scheduled for Monday will include information on how businesses and organizations can help their workforce get vaccinated against COVID-19.

Prisma Health will host the webinar from 12:30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. with the S.C. Department of Health and Environmental Control. A direct link to the webinar can be found here.

The panel includes Dr. Rachel Brown, medical director of prevention and wellness for Prisma Health; Dr. Brannon Traxler, interim director of public health for DHEC; and Steve White, DHEC’s COVID-19 vaccine coordinator for South Carolina.
Information will include how an organization can become a closed point of dispensing. According to Brown, “a closed point point of dispensing is an opportunity for organizations and businesses to partner with Prisma Health and DHEC in order to administer the vaccine to their workforce. This doesn’t necessarily grant them earlier access, but it will make it so that their workforce has easier access to the vaccine when it’s their turn.”

“During this webinar, we will discuss the status of COVID-19 and updated recommendations for testing and quarantine, vaccines being delivered to our state, and the three-phase approach for distribution,” webinar organizers said in an announcement.
