Roylco in Anderson is the latest Upstate company to keep employees working by making personal protective equipment for the health care industry.

The company is making face shields and foam pieces that add a measure of comfort to the health care workers who wear them for long shifts, according to a news release.

Roylco made the pivot when both of its enterprises faced a downturn because of closed schools and factories. Roylco’s education division develops and manufactures early learning products for the classroom and home. The industrial division is a custom manufacturer that primarily converts materials as a die cutter with a niche in the automotive industry, the news release said.
