Pall Corp., a company in the filtration, separation and purification space of the biotechnology sector, plans to hire 300 people to staff a new 220,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Spartanburg County.

The newly opened site in Duncan will make mostly single-use bioprocessing equipment, according to a news release.

“We’re excited to join the Duncan community and welcome new associates to our growing team,” Joseph Repp, president of Pall Life Sciences, said in the news release. “Pall has a proud 75-year history of supporting development of life-saving vaccines and therapeutics. The important products we make here in South Carolina are used by customers around the world and critical to Pall’s global expansion plans as we increase production globally.”

Products made at the site, including products from the company’s Allegro platform, are used in essential manufacturing steps for biotechnology and pharmaceutical products such as antibiotics, antibodies and vaccines, including COVID-19 vaccines.

In July 2021, Pall and Cytiva, companies within Danaher Corp., announced plans to invest $1.5 billion over two years to expand their operations to meet both short term demand as well as long term projected growth.
