Sibert was taught by renowned chefs in New Orleans and said he is working to elevate the culinary experience in the Greenville area to new heights, according to a news release. A graduate from Cornell University, Sibert said he is continually finding ways to expand his craft, menu and abilities.

He was offered his first executive chef position at the age of 22 and has been called a “culinary prodigy,” because he has been known for taking something simple and creating a “masterpiece,” the release stated.

The experience of being featured on Guy’s Grocery Games has given Sibert an opportunity to represent South Carolina, the city of Greer, and his friends and family, he said.

“They get to see me break down barriers and help build a bridge of hope in my community for the little boys and girls who were told they weren't good enough to do certain things,” said Sibert. “I just want them to know anything is possible and hopefully this experience will continue to give me purpose and opportunities to make an impact in people’s lives.”

Sibert opened White Wine & Butter in June of 2022 at Greer’s Cartwright Food Hall, which is located at 215 Trade St. The restaurant also offers catering and has its own off-site historic old mill event space in Greenville’s West End at 1105 West Bramlett Road on the Ringofire campus.

“It’s certainly exciting and helps validate our food scene as well, too,” said Greer Mayor Rick Danner. “He’s been a welcomed addition to a lot of good restaurants in downtown Greer, and his appearance on the Food Network is only going to enhance that.”
