Oliver Haase has been named the new senior vice president for purchasing, quality and the Americas supplier network for BMW Manufacturing. He replaces Murat Aksel, who has left the company, according to a news release.
Haase has been with the BMW Group since 2000. He started his career as a quality specialist at Plant Dingolfing in Germany and moved to Plant Spartanburg in late 2001 where he worked for more than five years as a quality specialist and group leader for quality management in the areas of engine, chassis, body and communications electronics, the release said.
BMW Manufacturing produces more than 1,500 vehicles each day, exporting about 70% of these models to more than 125 global markets. The factory has a production capacity of 450,000 vehicles and employs more than 11,000 people.
