Tindall Corp. expanding in Spartanburg

Tindall Corp., a manufacturer of precast, prestressed architectural and structural systems, plans to expand operations in Spartanburg County. The $27.9 million investment will create 20 new jobs, according to a news release.

Located at 2877 Fairforest Clevedale Road in Spartanburg, Tindall Corp. will construct a utility division manufacturing facility to increase production capacity and expand product offerings, according to the news release. Precast concrete made at the new facility will be shipped throughout the Southeast and beyond.

The company's expansion is expected to be completed in early 2021.

“The Tindall team is proud to call Spartanburg home,” Vice President and General Manager Joel Sheets said in the news release. “As we have provided infrastructure products for so much of the industrial and residential growth in our region, we are excited to now add our name to the list of manufacturing operations that build and grow new opportunities here in Spartanburg.”

Spartanburg County Council Chairman A. Manning Lynch Jr. said Tindall’s growth is an indication of healthy economic development conditions.

“Tindall Corporation has been a solid corporate partner in Spartanburg, providing great jobs and excellent products for over five decades,” he said in the news release.

The Coordinating Council for Economic Development has awarded Spartanburg County a $100,000 Set-Aside grant for costs related to the project, the news release said.
